2nd / 3rd Engineer Diesel Electric

We are looking for a Engineer to join a Diesel Electric vessel, as Engine department. The vessel is operating in North-West European waters. This role will fit someone with hands-on technical experience, a proactive mindset and strong motivation to contribute to the daily operation of the machinery and systems on board.
Together with your colleagues in the Engine Room, you contribute to a reliable and well-maintained vessel.

Job description

  • Carry out engineering watch duties as assigned
  • Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of the main engine and auxiliary machinery
  • Help ensure the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems
  • Support senior engineering officers in troubleshooting and preventive work
  • Keep accurate reports and documentation of work performed
  • Work closely with the international engineering team to maintain high technical standards

Requirements:

  • Valid COC – Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch or 2nd Engineer < 3000 kW
  • All required STCW certificates and relevant trainings up to date
  • Good command of English (verbal and written)
  • Preferably HUET + CA-EBS and Shoulder Measurement, this is only a plus

Experience:

  • Experience with Diesel-electric propulsion systems is a plus
  • Prior sea service in a similar rank or technical role is advantageous
